Georgian cuisine features a unique variety of dishes, incorporating herbs and spices for a special tastes and aromas. It's easy to lose track of time at the Georgian table. Dizzying array of salads, followed by steaming vats of heady stews and braises, cheeses, wine, and occasional forays into polyphonic harmony, a signature feature of Georgian folk music.

 

Georgia is recognized as the homeland of wine. Artifacts have been found in the territory of Georgia that provide evidence for an 8000-year-old continuous tradition of winemaking and maintained the Qvevri technique of making wine.
